Marco Liceaga
VP, Marketing & Promotions, Univision Deportes, Univision Communications Inc.

Marco Liceaga is vice president of Marketing and Promotions for Univision Deportes. Based in Miami, Liceaga oversees all strategic marketing, on-air messaging and brand building endeavors for Univision’s sports properties and programming across all UCI media platforms. Additionally, he is responsible for generating new business and marketing programs including Liga MX Campeón de Campeones, Balón de Oro Liga MX, Univision Deportes Tour, among other.

Liceaga has over 17 years of experience in the sports industry. He joined Univision Deportes from Major League Soccer/Soccer United Marketing where he served as senior director of SUM International, managing all of SUM foreign properties’ business, including FMF (Federación Mexicana de Fútbol), Chivas de Guadalajara, Liga MX and FC Barcelona.

Prior to MLS/SUM, Liceaga worked for NFL International and managed the League’s media business in Mexico, including overseeing their relationship with Grupo Televisa, TV Azteca, Estadio W, as well as overseeing the launch and distribution of NFL Sunday Ticket and NFL Network in the territory.

Liceaga studied International Relations from Universidad Anáhuac in México. He also has a Diploma in Advanced Management in Media and Entertainment from Spain’s IESE and UCLA Anderson School of Management.
