Rachel Webber
Executive Vice President, Digital Product, National Geographic

Rachel Webber serves as Executive Vice President of Digital Products, leading the digital business across National Geographic Partners. She spearheads digital visual story-telling through video initiatives, expansion into virtual reality and other digital experiences.

Prior to joining National Geographic, Webber served as Senior Vice President, Fox Television Group. In that position, she was responsible for new business growth for the Fox Broadcasting Company and 20th Century Fox Television. Webber previously managed Fox Networks Group’s digitally-focused corporate development initiatives and non-linear revenue growth strategy, building the advertising and technology and data solutions capabilities and collaborating across sales and network teams to create innovative brand sponsorship offerings.

Previously, Webber served as Vice President of Video at Rovio Entertainment where she was responsible for building Rovio’s video business including managing its newly-launched owned-and-operated video distribution channel (“ToonsTV”), which achieved more than 1 billion views in its first 7 months and is distributed inside of Rovio’s Angry Birds games and on connected platforms. In this role, she also oversaw the distribution of Rovio’s original animated content, managed P&L of video business unit which focused on driving new significant revenue streams and supporting the growth of Rovio’s franchises. Webber closed distribution deals for Rovio’s original animated series with more than 25 linear TV networks around the world, major EST and VOD platforms and Sony Home Entertainment for DVD.

Webber started her career at News Corp as the Director, Energy Initiatives in 2005 where she launched and led the implementation of News Corp.-wide’s commitment to reduce the environmental impacts of its operations and to engage with its audiences and business partners on the issues of energy and climate change. In 2009 she moved to Fox Television Studios as the Director, Digital Strategy and Development leading distribution and marketing strategy for the studio’s original digital content initiatives before moving to Foxtel and later Tumblr where she served as ambassador to the entertainment industry, responsible for onboarding TV, film and digital entertainment partners and executing integrated marketing initiatives.
